  • DOC: Denominazione di Origine Controllata. The second highest classification for Italian wines. 

  • IGT: This classification allows Italian winemakers to use grapes and craft styles outside of DOC and DOCG regulations. 

  • Riserva: Italian wines aged for longer than normal.
